Hillingdon Series Race 2 Sun June 9th 2013 – Race Report

A strong team from ESC D3 Triathletes put in another impressive performance on this popular local sprint race. The race format of – swim 750m, Run 6.5k, Bike 22k gives this event a different feel, but it does seem to avoid that awful bike-to-run wobbly legs syndrome that we have all experienced. I sometimes get the same feeling during my post-race recovery drink – not sure why? Sarah – do you get this problem?

Ironman Lanzarote 2013 – Matt’s race report

If you had told me a couple of years back that I would finish one of the renown toughest ironman races on the circuit, I would have laughed at you. Ironman Lanzarote was the first race of my bucket list, so it was mostly about finishing and having a good time, but I’m happy that I have more than honored my training and the people that keep supporting me.
On a personal level, this was a fantastic race and a dream come true on many levels. Forget the finish time, it’s good indeed and I’m really happy about it, but enjoyment was the goal and I really had a blast!

Hatch End Triathlon, Sunday 12th May 2013 – race report

A great turn-out today at Hatch End by the Ealing D3 Triathletes – and a fine show of club colours on display under our twin flags.

Luckily the ‘Sun had got his hat on, hip hip hip hooray!’ – but that meant that every time a cloud passed over the D3 team also got their hats on – memorable headgear from Dan, Pete Flewitt, and somebody who looked like ‘where’s Wally!’…

Once again the Jetstream Tri club put on a well-organised event, but still managed to maintain the friendly local club atmosphere – which always makes us feel most welcome.

We’re very keen to build a substantial and successful club. We want to welcome athletes of all ages and levels of ability, so readers of this should know that you will be made very welcome indeed and so shall any of your fellow-triathletes, family and friends. Our aim is to have a club that is inclusive and competitive; enjoyed by its members and respected by its rivals; supported by a big swimming club but independent in its own field.
